J. Aaron Jenkins - President
Aaron was born and raised in Henagar, AL. Aaron married Lawanda Sweatt in 1959 and they have three children, Michael, Mark, and Elecia. Mr. Jenkins has four grandchildren and two great-grand children. Aaron and Lawanda were happily married for nearly 38 years in 1997 at the time of Lawanda's death. Aaron is currently re-married to Deborah Nichols.
Aaron got his start in the car business in 1960 at Bert Brown Ford as a car salesman. Aaron worked at a number of dealerships including Adcox-Kirby, and Austin Chrysler-Plymouth, where he worked his way up to Used Car Manager. Aaron then moved on to Ed Wright Chevrolet as Used Car Manager and was there until the business closed in March 1981. Aaron and Ed Wright opened up City Dodge in Chattanooga, TN as co-owners in December 1981. Aaron was at City Dodge until February 1986, when he sold his shares to Ed Wright and began working to open his own dealership. In May 1986, Aaron, Lawanda, and Mark Jenkins opened Jenkins Chrysler - Dodge - Jeep, Inc. Aaron is currently semi-retired, spending only several hours a week at the dealership and otherwise spending his time traveling, and fishing and working on his property at home in Ringgold, Georgia.
